Mother’s Way

Thank you, Mom, for showing me the way.

I miss your kisses so I will give a hug.

I miss your smile so I will show kindness.

I miss your reassurance so I will comfort others.

I miss your food so I will cook a wholesome meal.

I miss your tidiness so I will clean up.

I miss your determination so I will press on.

I miss your humility so I will remain humble.

I miss your crossword puzzles so I will solve a problem.

I miss your competitiveness so I will risk failure.

I miss your Christmas cookies so I will keep traditions.

I miss your faith so I will be faithful.

I miss your unconditional love so I will love freely.

I live the memories of my Mother’s Way.

Mom, I miss you on this Mother’s Day and every day.

"A mother is a person who seeing there are only 4 pieces of pie for 5 people, promptly announces she never did care for pie." T. Jordan

Christmas Cookies! I will always remember (and now miss) your Mom’s huge plate of cookies which mysteriously appeared on my desk at your Dad’s firm. Susan, you must post the recipe for those red-green ones. Healthy?–I suppose not but celebratory, you bet.
