Grand Canyon “rim2rim2rim” Adventure: Part III

If you would like to know what it's really like to explore the Grand Canyon on foot, then this musical slideshow is for you.

Leading a FIT life does not require a treadmill, aerobics class or even a dumbbell. Above all, it requires 2 things. Desire and enthusiasm.

Over time everything gets stale if its repetitive. You don’t have to travel to a canyon or purchase expensive equipment.

Nature is free. Sometimes all we need is new scenery. Or a new buddy to talk to on a walk.

When you have desire and enthusiasm, commitment isn’t a battle but a reward.

To learn more about embarking on your own canyon adventure, view the entire 3 part series here for tips to make it a grand experience!

My New Favorite Fuel! Honey Stinger Waffles

Skitz Pick

I’ve seen these “waffles”on shelves at sporting good stores for awhile but thought they sounded horrible. When I think of waffles, I think of soft, moist and doughy. Not exactly what I’m craving when I’m pounding the pavement.

Then I visited one of my favorite adventure stores, Backwoods, to purchase a gift. And my workout life changed forever:)

Honey Stinger Waffles-

If my mama had only given me a better name everyone would love me!

Under the Covers: Wild by Cheryl Strayed

Welcome to Under the Covers, an on-going series of book reviews to enrich the way we think, move, eat and connect.

In my Under the Covers book series, I will rate each book based on its “Life Wisdom” value (from 1 to 5 wise owls). I will review books that inspire, motivate and teach life lessons. Some of our greatest wisdom comes from those whose journeys may be quite different from our own.

When we escape into their world, we can learn from their trials, tactics, and courage. Through their wisdom, we add to our own.
