After a few clicks, you landed on my welcome page wondering if this blog will be worth your time and is it meant for YOU. This is not a typical blog. I tend to stray from ‘typical’ and blaze my own trail even if it means breaking a few rules. I have SO much planned for our journey together and hope you will consider starting your day with me.
This blog is unisex. So that means it is not just for women, moms, or middle aged folks. It is written for anyone who believes in achieving and maintaining a FIT mind and body. So if you don’t care about your mental or physical health, well then, best you move on now as you will anyways.
This blog is for men and women of all ages, particularly college age on up. There is no age limit to good health. There is no sexism to separate us. We all have dreams, desires, and plans with plenty of insecurities that keep us from achieving all that we deserve.
This blog is for those who want to get FIT, both physically and mentally, but haven’t made it happen yet. This site will help you in all sorts of ways. Please share your triumphs and lessons learned in your own personal journey.
This blog is for athletes who are already FIT and want to stay that way. Do you work your mental muscles as much as you work your body? Do you want to improve your diet? What makes this site different from all the other health & fitness blogs? This is not about MY daily journey but more about YOURS. This isn’t about quick fixes but what it really takes to live an overall healthy lifestyle. This isn’t about winning races but learning to love the plateaus. Unlike most blogs, I will be posting several “series” which go into more depth on a subject. Think of each as a small chapter, one leading into the next. A we eat series might be a “class” or a collection of certain recipes. FITness here at fitskitz.com is not contained to the gym but extends into our homes, relationships and workplaces.
Success in leading a FIT life is not portioned out to a few. The more FIT mind and bodies out there, the quicker we eliminate the childhood obesity epidemic, the more bike lanes in our cities, the more healthy menu options at restaurants, the lower the prices of organic vegetables, the more gyms at our work places, the lower our medical premiums, the less dependency on drugs and alcohol, and the more likely our individual dreams can become realities. Those reasons sure motivate me. How about you?
