Welcome to ROLL THE DICE
I figured if I’m going to throw my hat into this blogging arena, I might as well create a place where I can talk about anything that might not fall neatly into one of my other categories.
In Roll the Dice you might find a movie or book review, info on a great app to check out, tips on owning your own business, leadership skills, or a product recommendation that has nothing to do with health or fitness. I’m checking out a lot of cool blogs as I begin mine and I’ll link you to some good ones no matter what the topic.
Fasten your seat belts tight as my first series in this category, Sid’s Sense, will skyrocket your ability to fight personal battles we all confront in this impersonal society. Take a leap of faith, commit to reading it in its entirety, practice, and I promise it will impact your life for the better. These are lessons learned about life from my father, combined with my input after incorporating these lessons into my own life. A lawyer over 50 years, community activist, and negotiator supreme, he taught me everything I know about business, money and street smarts. He also taught me how to lead a family. You are in for a treat here–trust me on this. I’ll share stories and sum up lessons that have helped me and numerous others achieve success. With his help, I’ll teach you how to be your own lawyer so you’ll never need to hire one.
I can’t wait for my series, Beer Goddess, which will recommend some seriously good beer! I will give you tips on entertaining (I must admit I do enjoy “wowing” people at dinner parties!). I’m learning so much about photography and as I continue to improve, I’ll share some tips and some of my favorite captures.
Some posts may overlap categories so I’ll just pick one. For this reason, I encourage you to keep an open mind and not pigeon hole yourself into reading only from one category. Synonymous with life, everything overlaps and a shift you make in one area affects all others. This is what I call the domino effect.
While Roll the Dice is wide open, the goal of this site remains. To focus on solutions. If you want to complain, whine or have a pity party, then this probably isn’t the best place for your expression. Instead, let’s keep our focus on what jazzes you up, what you tried out and loved, what goal you nailed, what small step you took toward your goal. Now don’t misunderstand me here. This is not happy camp. I’ll talk plenty about disappointment, struggle, and failure but the focus is WHAT I LEARNED FROM IT. This is how we help each other live a FIT life.
Sometimes it’s fun to not know what’s behind the door. I’ll do my best to make it worth your time to open it.
