4th of July Fruit Poppers
These hit a home run at a 4th of July party we attended. Perfect treat for your next summer gathering.
Simple, beautiful and bitefuls of heaven. A twist on the traditional chocolate covered strawberries.
Directions:
Carve out stem and flesh of strawberries with sharp, paring knife. (Save the insides to eat!).
Melt dairy-free chocolate chips in microwave. I used Ghirardelli semi-sweet chips. Heat in 30-40 second increments and stir with spatula in between so chocolate doesn’t burn.
With a small spoon, put a dollop of chocolate inside each strawberry. Top with fresh blueberries pushing them down into the chocolate.
Arrange on a pretty platter and refrigerate until ready to serve.
